Tim Cruse, Pastor
Tim Cruse became the pastor of Shining Light Baptist on March 7, 1990, after serving as youth director at his home church in Salisbury, North Carolina, for almost nine years.
Pastor Cruse trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour while a senior in high school on January 4, 1981. Forty-nine days later, he surrendered to the call of God upon his life to preach. He enrolled in Bible College that fall to prepare for the Lord's work. While in college, he met his wife Rebekah. God has since blessed them with seven sons - Timothy Stephen, Aaron Samuel, Caleb Nathaniel, Jared Daniel, Andrew Benjamin, Joshua David, John Philip; and three daughters - Caroline Ruth, Hope Elisabeth and Victoria Leigh.
With conviction and compassion, Pastor Cruse stands firmly on God's Word. He is committed to proclaiming the gospel of Christ and to strengthening God's work in

the home through the local church. His life's verses are Jeremiah 18:6, "... cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand..." and Galatians 6:9, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
